La Configuración Simbólica del Mundo: Identidad y Otredad en el Documental: The Devil’s Miner
Abstract
The Devil´s Miner, documental realizado en el año 2008, cuenta la historia de aproximadamente 800 niños que aún trabajan en las minas del Cerro Rico en Potosí, Bolivia, y que son la consecuencia de un sistema otrificante en el cual el “otro” está en una condición de inferioridad epistémica latente. Este ensayo tiene como objetivo el análisis del documental para visibilizar a través del relato de un niño minero, y todo el sistema de lenguaje e identidad incorporado en él, cómo el mundo ha sido clasificado y otrificado desde los procesos colonizadores en América Latina, resultando de ello dos perspectivas conclusivas: la mirada del “otro” que va construyendo su identidad entre el miedo y la esperanza, recreando en su cotidianidad un lenguaje simbólico que lo adhiere cada vez más a su posición marginal, y la mirada de la maquinaria de producción que transfiere al espectador la construcción de las significaciones percibidas en el relato.
